Ranju Kumari hails from Tarwan village in the Patna district of Bihar and belongs to the Dalit community. She has faced a lot of challenges in her personal and educational journey. In her community, girls often do not get opportunities to go outside or pursue education, and fulfilling a dream is a challenging task for them and their families. Her dream is to become a police officer, and she continues to work hard towards that goal. She hopes to inspire other girls like her through her hard work and dedication. She has been involved in working with children from the Manji community and in educating women in their households about health, family planning, and the prevention of early marriages for girls.

Through the Digital Swaraj Fellowship, she wants to enhance her learning, comprehension, and personal development. She aims to help people from the socially, economically, and educationally marginalized community access digital services and government schemes. She wants to provide educational information to youth and children, and make them aware of opportunities such as internships and fellowships. She also intends to raise awareness among women about their rights, health, child marriage, domestic violence, and constitutional rights.
