Beauty Kumari hails from a village named Sonkukra in Patna district, Bihar. During her educational journey itself, she realized that she did not want to work in a gender-specific field, which is why she chose to work in the social sector. She has worked and participated in various projects and programs with social organizations such as Samata Samaveshi Kendra, The YP Foundation, Purpose, UNICEF, Samvada Baduku, Sambhavana Institutes, and Jagriti Yatra. She has always wanted to work for her community, helping them adapt to the changing and evolving world.
Through the Digital Swaraj Fellowship, she aims to help the most marginalized communities in social, economic, and political spheres access digital information. She also wants to inform youth and children about the various educational opportunities available in terms of fellowships, internships and facilitate access to digital services and schemes. She aspires to raise awareness among women about their rights, health, and entitlements, and also work with small farmers and adults.
